Nicola Hollands’ sister Charlotte died from leukaemia in May.

Nicola, 27, paid the lasting lifelong tribute to her beloved sister Charlotte who died aged just 22.

The tattoo has the eyes and face of Charlotte – who died from an aggressive form of leukaemia in May – with the wings of an angel.

Mum-of-two Nicola, of Rhwbina, Cardiff, had the artwork made by a mixture of ink and her sister’s cremated ashes.

She said: “I chose to have the tattoo as it means we will always be together.

“Charlotte was such a huge part of my life I wanted the size of the tattoo to represent that.

“She was so brave and battled through pain every day of her life.

“In comparison my pain in having it done is nothing.”
